Carlos spent four years in New York City, where he studied Music Technology at Stevens Institute of Technology. After working as an audio engineer at Sofar Sounds, Carlos returned to Brazil and started his career as a music composer and sound designer for film and commercials. He continues to partner with artists from the North-American scene for scoring projects. Carlos also writes and produces music for his personal project Ekagrata, in which he combines trip hop beats with Brazilian influences.
Chris graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Poli-USP and TU Darmstadt, focusing his studies on acoustics and design for recording studios. Chris also specialized in Sound Engineering at IAV and in Music Composition for Film and TV at Berklee College of Music. At Mad Sounds Chris has produced music for recording artists, advertising and podcasts.
With Carlos on guitar and Chris on keys, they played together in the band IkE GUY and later joined forces to create Mad Sounds.
