Carlos spent four years in New York City, where he studied Music Technology at Stevens Institute of Technology. After working as an audio engineer at Sofar Sounds, Carlos returned to Brazil and started his career as a music composer and sound designer for film and commercials. He continues to partner with artists from the North-American scene for scoring projects. Carlos also writes and produces music for his personal project Ekagrata, in which he combines trip hop beats with Brazilian influences.

Chris graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Poli-USP and TU Darmstadt, focusing his studies on acoustics and design for recording studios. During the two years he studied in Germany, he became familiar with the local film scene, which led him to write the score for the documentary "Protest aus Stuttgart" (2022), from director Marco Hülser. Chris also specialized in Sound Engineering at IAV and in Orchestration at Berklee College of Music.

With Carlos on guitar and Chris on keys, they played together in the band IkE GUY and later joined forces to create Mad Sounds.
